Annual fundraiser party celebrating Tom's Birthday.

This is the the celebration of the birthday of TOM OF FINLAND. we have done this every year since his passing as a way to honor him and his legacy that he has left all of us to enjoy. He passed in the fall of 1991 and we celebrate this event the Sunday closest to his Birthday (May 8,1920.)

06/02/2007	Scott H. suggests meeting on 06/03/07 in the afternoon. Who is coordinating the volunteers? Who as been asked to do what?
06/01/2007	"Teaser ad" sent to Frontiers (Louie) in time for their deadline. It's a quarter page in color that we placed at a discount. IN Magazine also may provide a discount. An ad has not been constructed to their specifications at this time. Question about creating a Passport specifically for this event. Using old Passports and printing a 1/4 page "update" may be less "professional" but more frugal. Jay Jorgensen offers to help with set-up.
05/31/2007	Louie suggests a Costume Contest. Sharon M. says Richard came yesterday w/ a rough layout. The theme is carnival it will be heavy on the volunteers. No artist tents this year. Dehner suggested Brad Rader doing drawings...? Scott H. asks what planning is beeing done for this event and what the theme is to be. When will there be a planning meeting scheduled? Sharon says Durk will probably organize one soon. San Diego Eagle Bus trip to Los Angeles on Sunday - June 17th Bar will open at 11am and the bus will depart at 1pm sharp and will stop at the Fautline where there will be a beer bust and a Tom of Finland Parking Lot Party then the bus will go to the LA Eagle where there will be another beer bust as well the bus will return to the San Diego Eagle around 1am. Cost includes Transportation and alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages and snack while on the Bus. $40.00 per person. 03/24/2007	Board Committees suggests Father's Day (June 17th). Dehner will call Shawn and set planning meeting. Theme could be Daddies (and sons?) Is Richard W. available?
03/20/2007	Dehner met with Shawn of the Faultline and here are the dates that are available: May 6, May 20, June 10 (NOT OK on Mothers Day, May 13). TBD at March BoD Mtg. Dehner to find out what kind of tents are available.
03/15/2007	Dehner has spoken to Charlie at the Eagle. Calls Shawn at Faultline to see if he is "holding" a date for the event in '07.

07/23/2006	Attendance lower that last year but higher than the year prior.
05/09/2006	Need to come up with concept - “21”? Draw in the young crowd. Big Brother/Little Brother, Artwork needs to be done in the next couple of days so promotion can begin.
01/08/2006	The 18th is still the working date. Shawn likes the wrestling and tattoo themes for the ToFF fundraisers - we both as part of Tom's Bar?

11/20/2005	ToFF Board will be examining the date as there are considerations that may move event to another date. This has not been determined as of yet. Look at Gauntlet as venue?
05/24/2005	Discussed having event on April 30th to give more time to prep NY EAFW (although Sunday, May 7th is the Sunday closest to Tom's BD.)

12/05/2004	There was a discussion of fund-raisers at the 12/05/04 board meeting: it was agreed that we will do Tom's Bar at the Faultline. (05/08/04 - Mother's Day?)
11/30/2004	Tom's Bar is usually on the Sunday which also usually squares it off against Mother's Day (May 8). At one point Shawn Farnsworth remembers we considered that it might be worth moving behind or ahead a week to avoid that this year. That would make it May 1 or May 15. Either is fine with with him. (As is May 8th, of course).
