After a long absence, Tom of Finland Foundation will be returning to Chicago for IML 2012, thanks to the helpful support of our generous donors. The Bush recession has been devastating for artists and nonprofits alike, but especially difficult for erotic artists in particular. The loss of America’s Gay publishing industry has left a generation of young men bonded with their smartphones, but divorced from their history. We have come to remind them about life before video, about the talent and effort of those who work with their hands, and about the man responsible for helping create our unique, manly spaces for the Proud, the Brave and the Strong.
