Tom of Finland Foundation Event Turns 17

It’s no surprise that this annual event has become a favorite in the area. While some art fairs allow artists to display their body of work, the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair allows them to show their works of bodies as hundreds come together to celebrate the beauty and sensuality of the human form.

Welcome to all our new ToFF Members!

Chris Lopez is an internationally published artist and photographer.  His artwork reflects different techniques and materials, using mainly his own exclusive models in his studio photography. He portrays male masculinity and musclebear men with a classical reminiscence of the old masters. He opened his own studio/gallery one year ago in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

As Tom had established worldwide recognition as the master of homo-erotic art,
the Foundation’s original purpose was to preserve his vast catalog of work.
Several years later the scope was widened to offer a safe haven for all erotic art
in response to rampant discrimination against art
that portrayed sexual behavior or generated a sexual response.

Today the Foundation continues in its efforts of educating the public
as to the cultural merits of erotic art and in promoting healthier,
more tolerant attitudes about sexuality.

Tom of Finland Foundation thanks the artist for this contribution.

The American launch of the new anthology,
Tom of Finland: Life and Work of a Gay Hero,
will take place at the
West Hollywood – Los Angeles Erotic Art Fair Weekend.

The book chronicles Tom’s life with never-before seen
photographs from his childhood and features some
of Tom’s rare works and quite a few images
long-believed to be missing or lost.
Patrons may purchase a copy and the authors,
F.Valentine Hooven, III, Durk Dehner and S.R. Sharp,
will be there both days to discuss
and personally autograph the book.

This volume brings to life Tom of Finland
—the man, the artist, the icon.
