Editor Rinaldo Hopf presents the latest volume of the anthology with the Tom of Finland Foundation Special Edition.
This edition presents the many sides of the artist Tom of Finland and explores the Foundation he cofounded with Durk Dehner. Discover treasures from an extensive collection of gay art, many shown here for the first time. Contemporary authors and artists add to this unique homage to Tom with their essays, interviews, short stories and images.
Special Guest Steven Reigns from West Hollywood, and Berlin based authors Jim Baker, Kevin Clarke, and Jan Gympel will be reading from their texts.
Images from the book will be shown and the event will be in both German and English.
Ramón García is the author of The Chronicles (Red Hen Press, 2015), Other Countries (What Books Press, 2010) and Ricardo Valverde (University of Minnesota Press, 2013). He has published poetry in a variety of journals and anthologies.
Matias Viegener is a writer, artist, and critic who teaches at CalArts. He’s the author of 2500 Random Things About Me Too, the editor of I’m Very Into You and recently received a Creative Capital award.
Ben Trigg is the co-host of Two Idiots Peddling Poetry at the Ugly Mug in Orange, California. He is geektastic.
David Parke Epstein is a former editor and writer for Esquire magazine. He currently lives at Sunset Junction with a cat named Compton. He’s a hopeless romantic who enjoys movies, poetry, and long cocks on the beach.
Steven Reigns was appointed the first City Poet of West Hollywood, authored Inheritance and edited My Life is Poetry, featuring his students in the first-ever autobiographical poetry workshop for LGBT seniors. He has taught workshops around the country to LGBT youth and people living with HIV.
