See what ToFF has in its library!

For the Record

LT-1You can search with the box on the right side of the screen and the drop-down menu by title, author, subject, etc., or just press enter.

This is a work in progress! We currently have 500 books in LibraryThing and more titles are being added weekly. The list is in order of entry, so the first books on the list are the last ones loaded.

Because the books we have are rather rare, not many other members have them, so there aren’t many reviews or comments. If you join LibraryThing, you can put your own books in (up to 200 for free) and write reviews, etc.

So, go take a look and have some “literary” fun!

ToFF Library receives gift of “The Art of Man”

For the Record, Friends of Tom

Volume 7 / Winter 2011

Tom of Finland Foundation’s library has received  the latest issue of the quartlery, The Art of Man.

“It is a fine arts journal that seeks to bring balance to a genre of art that overwhelmingly favors the female figure. Every edition includes an historical reference, an article on the fine art of the male figure, a directory of over 150 artists, and in-depth interviews with 5 artists that are courageous enough to focus on the male figure as a significant portion of their portfolio.”

ToFF is appreciative of this gift and the work of Firehouse Publishing.

You may find all seven issues of The Art of Man here.

“Homogenda 2012″ with 24 Artists donated to ToFF Library

For the Record, Friends of Tom

Contains over 90 pages filled with the work of Gay artists from around the world.

In de agenda staan wederom afbeeldingen van werken van (homo)kunstenaars uit binnen- en buitenland. In totaal zijn hiermee ruim 90 pagina’s gevuld.

The first copy was received by the Mayor of Groningen, Netherlands for the University Library of Groningen and he gifted copies to 150 of his dinner guests. Tom of Finland Foundation is very pleased to have TOM included in the book and it is a wonderful addition to our library.

“In this anniversary 2012 edition we pay special attention to the work of Tom of Finland. His driving force was to portray a positive image of the Gay man, who would be proud of himself. His work made a great contribution to Gay emancipation”.

“In deze jubileum editie 2012 besteden we speciale aandacht aan het werk van Tom of Finland. Zijn drijfveer was om een positief beeld van de Gay man, die zouden zijn trots op zichzelf te portretteren. Zijn werk heeft een grote bijdrage geleverd aan homo-emancipatie”.

Gift to ToFF Library, “Mein Schwules Auge” Volume 7 by Rinaldo Hopf

For the Record, Friends of Tom

Mein Schwules Auge Volume 7

Offering a diverse selection of gay erotic literature, art, and photography, this evocation contains contributions from both American and European writers, artists, and photographers. The featured essays, short stories, poems, and artwork focus on the provocative subject of obsessions, demonstrating the changes in every medium of erotic art from one year to the next. Showing how the genre is constantly and creatively reinventing itself, this is a fascinating look at a versatile form of expression.
