This show, curated by David Rubin, and first presented
at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in New Orleans is LLGAF's
first traveling exhibition. It features the work of J.B. Harter
and 9 contemporary Louisiana artists, Ralph Bourque, Brad
Dupuy, Jenny Kahn, Audra Kohout, Michael Meads, Keith Perelli,
Roberto Rincon, Maxx Sizler and Tom Strider, plus 27 works
from the LLGAF permanent collection.
Due to the size of this show it will be presented in two
locations. The major part of the show will be at the new main
gallery, 26 Wooster Street, and the overflow at our Annex
at 127B Prince Street (the old gallery).

THEIR NEW HOME
The new Leslie/Lohman gallery represents the culmination
of over five decades of celebrating the achievements of gay
and lesbian artists. What began as a modest art show at home
for enthusiastic friends, evolved into the country's preeminent
non-profit institution for exhibition, support and preservation
of queer art.
Beginning with a flea market purchase in 1944, their collection
includes over 3,000 conspicuously gay works by Paul Cadmus,
Jean Cocteau and Andy Warhol, to name but a few. With the
move to their dazzling new space, they mark the beginning
of an invigorated new era.
