The exhibition features iconic works from shows of the last quarter century and highlights the diverse range of genres promoted by the Gallery, including photography, paintings, and sculpture.

Among the artists included are: Mike Bidlo, who emerged from the art scene in the 1980's East Village at the same time as the opening of the gallery, and is here represented by one of his Warhol “appropriationism” screen-print paintings of Jackie Onasiss.

John Dugdale, a master of antique photographic processes, will be included with one of his famous signature cyanotype still lifes.

George Platt Lynes, well known for his work in ballet and fashion, is equally respected for his extensive nude images of the male body. His work served as a historic inspiration for the Gallery’s many exhibitions of male image art, past and present.

Donald Moffett, one of several Gallery activist artists who produced political and AIDS-related work, is represented by one of his thought-provoking and confrontational 1990's light box works You, You, You.

Rhonda Zwillinger, another of the renowned East Village artists, and who inaugurated the Gallery’s Rome venue, is well known for encrusting objects such as shoes, furniture, and candelabras with elaborate beading. Her Toute Suite, an entire bejeweled baby-grand piano (her largest single endeavor), will be on view for the first time in over 15 years.
