Volunteers Setting Up In The Tent
At Erotic City

The Foundation was out
in force at Christopher Street West's LA Pride this year —
both in the Parade and at Erotic City, the festival's area that's
"adults only".
Our Parade Volunteers
were promised five hot hours from check-in until the end of the
Parade, and hot they were! (Thanks, Miguel, for riding heard on
the fine collection of beef.) Seth and loyalty also put a lot of
effort into decorating the truck — and it really showed.
At Erotic City, ToFF
was proud to have artists Steven Blank, LaRoderick Dexter, Miguel
Angel Reyes and Rick Castro show their work to so many. Special
thanks to Volunteers Luis C., Jeffrey Moline, Ray P., Avery, Kermit,
John Cuevas, Jake, Mr. L.A. Leather Bear 2010 and Bo who endured
the “steamy” tent to dispense valuable TOM info (and plug TOM’s
Bar!).

Artist
Jamie Wallen visits TOM House.
Jamie scheduled his trip
from Kalamazoo, Michigan just so he could see the House. He is commited
to creating a work for the Foundation and gifting it to us. We talked
about having a “TOM night ” in his studio back home.
“Today I was able to
finally fulfill one of my dreams of touring the ToF Foundation as
well as their incredible collection of his works and the family
of artists that are included in the Foundation Collection. I am
completely overwhelmed and feel the necessity to make many pilgrimages
back to absorb it completely. This is what I feel one of the most
important bodies of work to bring awareness to in not only the arts
community, but also the human community. The erotic arts exposure
that this Foundation facilitates and supports not only opens minds
but also saves lives by reminding us as a community that we are
not alone —”
A fine art quilting
artist, Jamie has inspired hundreds of longarm quilters over the
past several years. A remarkable artist with incredible patience,
Jamie has taught many quilters (newbies to advanced) how to accomplish
his exciting quilting designs and techniques. |
