Of The Hat And Odds & Ends:

Filmmaker Waide Aaron Riddle
has thoughtfully gifted several Jay Lawton photographs to Tom of
Finland Foundation.
This is a beautiful remembrance of Jay’s talent. Jay regularly
applied his skils in support of the Foundation — whether it
was documenting our events or recording items in our Permanant Collection.
Beyond his archival efforts, he also had a rare eye for composition.
We are very honored to now also hold images from Jay's deeply artistic
side. To see additional photos we received, visit TOM's
Blog. |

Bruno Gmünder Verlag at TOM
House
Gay media group owners Tino Henn and Nik Reis visited the ToFF
offices with their book,
Tom of Finland Life and Work of a Gay Hero.
Give us a call (213.250.1685) if you would like a tour, and you
are sure to be welcomed, too. Or join us for one of our Volunteers'
Parties just to check the Tom House out! |

Part of Keep Your Timber Limber (Works on Paper), this afternoon
of talks and screenings centers on Tom of Finland and Antonio Lopez.
Although the two had divergent artistic trajectories, both had roots
in advertising and maintained a keen focus on fashion this event
will explore these ideas, as well as discuss the particular poignancy
of each practice, from the context in which they were working to their
enduring legacy.

movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of
American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions

Shirt
But Not Just Any Shirt
Modeled by Pete Karjalainen
Inspired by Tom of Finland,
here is a shirt that we think fits
the images he drew.
It is tailored to fit tighter to the body.
The sleeve length and added TOM patches signal
you are your own man — unique and individual. —
like any true TOM's man.
