When the Fair was created in 1995, it was the only event of its kind in the world, and it is still the largest. Artists from around the United States, as well as from several foreign countries, display and sell their art. Visitors from all over Southern California, and many from other parts of the world, visit the Fair and buy art to add to their collections.

The Weekend not only includes the Fair but also the Foundation's annual Awards Banquet, Drawing Workshops, an Artist Reception and Panel Discussions.

Postcard handout (Louie) sent to printer for CSW distribution.

Louie suggests that planning for our Award Winners be informally started.

Louie suggests that if we might not hold NY-EAFW events for the foreseeable future, that we may want consider having the grids we purchased for that event shipped to LA by train. Train freight is much more reasonable than UPS or FedEx, and we wouldn't want to lose that investment. The odd size may require investigation.

Negotiations with Nancy, Beth & Michael points to September 21 - 23 as the best days for the Fair at the Auditorium.

Board Committee suggests Oct. 12-14. Dehner to call Nancy Beard to confirm. Dehner will ask Richard W. if he is available. Committe understands we may need to do more "hands-on" work this year. The venue to be West Hollywood Park (and not Plummer's).

Dates that seem to work are Sept. 8-9, Sept. 22-23, Sept 28-29 and Oct. 13-14. Dehner to call WeHo 03/23/2007 to find out availibility of facilities.

Letter sent to Chris, our Plummer Park contact, looking for a West Hollywood Park contact:

Dear Chris.
I know that you over see our events at Plummer Park and after last falls
fair we needed to examine attendance and issues that affect such and we
came to terms that parking was a critical issue for the attendees and that
without ample parking we are left to the publics whims on such . We as a
committee voted to explore the possibilities of moving the fair for this
year to West Hollywood Park potentially using the auditorium and then part
of the parking structure there as the outside patio areas with our newly
invested tents and hanging systems that were paid for through a grant from
the City of West Hollywood. If you would call me at the foundation and
give me the means to speak to the supervisor over at West Hollywood Park
so that we can see if this is within the realm of possibilities.for the
foundation . We love so very many aspects of the fair being at Plummer
Park yet our attendance was down this past year and so we have to examine
all aspects of this and location and parking is one of them. since most of
our clientele are gay men having the fair deeper in the heart of that
region of the city does warrant investigation... thanks and look forward
to speaking with you...

We have the foundation Mc Mr Sharp who has his own facinastion with torture by unparalled means. from such mild mannered gents.. 4pm artists will show samplings of theirs and others of the genre.. bring yours to do show and tell.]

A discussion with the likes of Steve Shultes , he was Mr Major of West Hollywood , a Colt model and a Tom of Finland Model, Mr Peter Berlin a man who fashioned his own creation and did it without corporate sponsors mystery he is all about mystery,, Peter Karjalenien, Eric York, our Hunk of Finland, who has been porn star, an ambassador for Finland with The Tom of Finland Foundation across America and Finland, SUPER MEN WITH SUPER TOOLS. Each of these men will sit down with you and talk about the stuff real men are made of they each will bring a tool that represents them in some manner .. of speaking... the our mc will be the wonderful and charming Mr, Sharp. the discussion panel will happen at 3.30pm on Sunday,]

Goldie is taking care of the banks (Door, Cashier and Cafe) and does not know how much they are going to be. He is waiting for that info from the Administrative Office. Who will see that the necessary monies will be in place?

Planning Meeting CONFIRMED for 10/01/2006 at 1:00. Volunteers will have personalized nametags for the Weekend. Who is making these up?

Planning Meeting scheduled for 10/01/2006. A meeting of all the areas of the production to double check that all issues are being handled. Richard Weineke is available this day.

We want to thank Smirnoff for their ongoing support. Would they be interested in considering any other ToFF events to assist with?

Dan Berkowitz will not be volunteering for the Weekend as he said he would.

Michaeljohn Horne (sp?) will be sponsoring the street banners for ToFF's Erotic Art Fair Weekend for the next five years. That means the rental of the hardware to hold the banners, manfacturing them, putting them up, taking them down, etc.

Roger E. is working on the application for street banners. Berkowitz believes there was $1,000 budget for this last year.

Durk DanBerk. Tat Dan, Richard meet with city of WeHo at Fiesta Hall to plan for WHLA Erotic Art Fair. Will have lighting techs there to give quotes.

ToFF to obtain the services of lighting designer for Fiesta Hall. New display system may be required for new venue.

Venue switched to Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park. Lighting to be paid for from City of WeHo funds?

Better if cashiers are paid professionals (as opposed to volunteers).

Per Volker, health permitting, Kevin King (BEAU) has agreed to be at the ToFF booth on both days for WHLA EAFW for 4 hours to sign and dedicate his book.

Topics for the Seminars? See if there's an artist with a book or something coming out (a la Tom Bianchi two years ago). Edward Luci-Smith to do a lecture/interview type of thing?

Ector and Robert from the Center in NY will be out for Weekend as will Mark Nelson.

Cost of WeHo streetlight banners being looked into.

Involve Luis & Theresa De La Cruz w/ marketing/publicity/artists. Good idea would to utlize them in a side event, straight "exhibition" area or bringing in straights to the House and Fair.

The publisher of Frontiers called, and instead of getting one half-page ad, we're now getting two FULL page ads, plus they may supply us with shopping bags.
